The Looe Lugger Regatta is held in Looe once every two years. Dates for the next lugger regatta are to be confirmed so please keep popping back and we will publish them as soon as we can.
Luggers (not just Cornish) come from all over the UK and even some from France including a couple of three-masted luggers called the Carontin and the La Cancalaise.
We have Class A, B, C and D luggers coming this year and look forward to welcoming a new Class D lugger called the Grayhound which was launched in Millbrook only last year.
Looe Lugger Regatta
Boats usually arrive on the Friday and are sailing in Looe Bay on Saturday.
During the festival, do pop into Looe and come and see these magnificent boats. Each year there are approximately 40 luggers moored up in Looe Harbour and Looe Bay – it’s quite a sight to see.
