The Looe Cornish Lugger Regatta week in 2009 was a great success and the organisers would like to thank everyone who participated or turned up to watch. We hope you'll come back next time.

Looe Lugger Regatta 2009

LOOE LUGGER REGATTA 2009

The Looe Lugger Regatta will be running over three days from Friday 12th June through until Sunday 14th June.

This is a lovely Cornish event and is wonderful to see (excuse the pun!) and join in with. The Cornish, French and UK Luggers create a magnificent scene on the sea and in the harbour.

Lugger Racing in Looe Bay

On Saturday the racing starts at 10.30am and 10.40am, and then again at 14.30pm and 14.40pm.

On Sunday racing starts at 11.30am and 11.40am.

Party night in Looe

On Saturday evening there will be a party at the East Looe Fish Market on Looe Quay, tickets are £5.00 per person and all are welcome!

There will be a licensed bar and music in the form of a Ska band called The Mighty Offbeats.

Support

This regatta is supported by Looe Harbour Commissioners, East and West Looe Town Trusts, the Looe Town Council, Caradon District Council, Looe Sailing Club and many other businesses and individuals in Looe and in Cornwall.

This is another example of many individuals, councils, bodies and charities coming together with passion and enthusiasm to put East and West Looe on the map and it will make a very pleasant way to spend a weekend, so come down to the sea and join with this wonderful spectacle.
